Rahman turns 43!!!!

Born on 6th jan, 1966, the maestro was boen to rule the Indian film music.
It all started when he was 24 year old and had won the national award for the best music director for the Mani Ratnam's flick Roja.Though he had been directing ad film jingles till then,Roja opened the flood gates for the master to wind his magic on the public.Like the pied piper, the whole of Tamil Nadu was dancing to his numbers from his very first movie. There was no looking back after that and  even today he has the ability to draw peoples attention with the same intensity.
Rahman went on to score for bollywood movies and had become a national icon around '97.
Then came the release of Vande Mataram, through which he proved his worth not only as a great musician but as a true patriotic citizen of India.Records were broken album reached nook and corner of India. Not only here, even abroad the album was recieved very well by the critics.he gave a new definition to the patriotic feeling inside every Indian. The score was very inspiring and we still have the song played on every day of national importance.
As time passed by,he only got better and with his accolades winning album Bombay dreams, the legend had already made quite a good impression on the western part of the world.
Today we are awaiting the results of the Golden Globe awards for he has been nominated for the best original music score and he has already won the La awards for the film ' Slumdog millionaire' .
On the 6th of jan he turns 43 ,and I wish him all the very best to just carry on and entertain us as he has been doing for the past 18 years or so.The ever so gentle music director from chennai feels his music is a 'gift of God'.
His albums like 'Pray for me brother' , Ek Mohhobat',Ekam Satyam,Connections reveal his concern over social problems.Seldom do you get to see such a music director who has been making history and breaking records everytime he composes and also holds the distinction of adressing problems of social nature to the world as an appeal to the people.
The maestro has his eyes on  the famous  literature piece Tirukkural. He is to give it his touch along with Blaaze  who is to lend his voice for the album. He has helped many youngsters come up in the field of music all of whom do not go without mentioning the 'down to earth'  and helping nature of Rahman.
I have grown up listening to his music right from my childhood and i find his music more appealing. The one that makes you move from deep within.I remember him saying in one of his rare intervies that he  would make songs  which are very appealing.."Its useless doing a dance number without making u move and if its a sad one u have to cry for it".So simple but yet a touching sentence. His music has inspired me more than anything else in this world and i look forward to hearing more from the legend.
Thank u Rahman sir for entertaining us with such quality of music and wish u a very happy birthday. May god pour on the choicest blessings on you and wish u a very long and healthy life.
